Growing in community...

In the Rose room, beginning activities correlate closely with your child’s home life and other familiar experiences.

Simple and engaging small group activities focus on listening, responding, connecting, and developing trusting relationships between children and teachers.

Rose room activities also focus on the following developmental skills:

Circle Time

Children are invited to participate in story time, singing, movement and finger plays. Short, fun lessons revolve around seasonal and emergent themes, puppets and flannel board stories.  Group time supports the healthy development of young children’s language skills.

Large Motor Skills

We offer a variety of activities which incorporate climbing and sliding, rhythm instruments and creative movement, in order to facilitate the natural improvement of your toddler’s large motor skills.

Small Motor Skills

Puzzles, lacing beads, hammer and nail boards, crayons and manipulative building sets help to refine small motor coordination.

Art Activities

Simple activities provide an opportunity for tactile and visual exploration, while encouraging visual and spatial recognition.

Dramatic Play Area

Creative themes for self-expression include Grocery Store, Flower Shop, Construction and Picnic Time.
